GO IRVINE! The crew will take on Orange Coast College, Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara for a timed chase around Lido Island.

This boat was purchased off-lease from the Senior World Championships. The Romanian Senior National Team knocked the defending Olympic Champions out of the A final in Sarasota this past month. We lucked out and got one of the best shells in the world and it’s all thanks to our combined alumni support and seat dedications. A special surprise is in store for any and all contributors to the new shell!

UC Challenge Cup – On Water Viewing!
Davey's Locker 400 Main St, Newport Beach, CA, United StatesLimited seating for spectators of the 3rd Annual UC Challenge Cup is sold out onboard the Ocean Explorer. Experience the races like never before with light refreshments and a live webcast with real-time announcements of the action. The trophies will be handed over the gunwale of the boat to the winning crews, right there on the water! Please arrive at Davey's Locker to board the Ocean Explorer no later than 8 am on Saturday morning. The ship departs at 8:30 am and we will not hold for anyone running late!

Alumni Brunch – 2018
Join us for an alumni reunion brunch at the Back Bay Bistro, very close to the UCI Boathouse, immediately following the 3rd Annual UC Challenge Cup on March 3, 2018. Coffee and non-alcoholic beverages are included. A full cash bar will be available throughout the event! Help support the crew on their trip to nationals by taking part in our silent auction at the brunch. Some great prizes have been donated by alumni and parent supporters of the program! All funds raised will help offset the cost to send these boys to Gainesville Georgia to compete for the national championship. Last year the Varsity 8+ claimed 6th place out of 38 crews. Let's help them strive to even higher goals! We ask for donations to offset the cost of the banquet and the suggested donation for per ticket is $50.
