Alumni Dinner Orange County

Join us for a luxurious regional alumni dinner at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club in Corona del Mar to reminisce about rowing and old teammates! Team captain Cole McGuire, coach AJ Brooks and this year's scholar-athletes (GPA 3.8+) will be there to give an overview of the program and the state of the crew. $50 provides dinner and exquisite conversation.  Beverages not included. We want our recent graduates to be able to attend our alumni dinners, without being deterred by cost. If you have graduated in the last five years (since 2012...or so), please use the promotion code "UCIGrad2012" when you check out, this will give you a half-price ticket ($25).

Join us for a unique dining experience at the historic Los Angeles Athletic Club! Parking is available at 646 S. Olive St. (around the corner) and will be validated, so bring your ticket to the dinner! Watch a Practice

UCI Boathouse 600 Shellmaker Rd, Newport Beach, CA, United States

Come down and ride a launch to watch the team practice! Please email info@ucirowing.org with your name and phone number to reserve a spot on a launch. The plan is 5x1500 on the water with 4 8+s. Quite a flotilla! Arrival at UCI Boathouse at 6:30am to get assigned to a launch. Gate code is #7102   NOTE: There is a likely chance of rough weather, which might unfortunately scrap practice entirely... if we get RSVP's we will keep you posted.

New Recruits – Learn to Row

Coach AJ Brooks and the crew will be holding a “learn to row” event for all the new novice oarsman. Coach AJ has asked local alumni to help his recruiting efforts by coming down to the boathouse to share stories and provide mentorship to the new generation of anteater oarsman. This event will be held at the boathouse (300 Shellmaker Road, Newport Beach, CA, 92660) from 9:00am - 11:00am.

Alumni Cocktail Hour

Back Bay Bistro 1131 Back Bay Drive, Newport Beach, CA, United States

Your fellow alumni will be enjoying drinks and appetizers at Back Bay Bistro (1131 Back Bay Dr, Newport Beach, CA, 92660), just around the corner from the UCI Boathouse. This event will be based on meeting the varsity oarsman in a quiet setting to discuss career opportunities and internships. This event is free of charge. All we ask is for you to come and reminisce about the good old times.
